(i) a degree of Basic B.Sc.(Nursing) obtained from an Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council; or
(ii) a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery(GNM) obtained from an Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council / or the State Nursing Council or possess an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government.
(iii) Registered as a Nurse or Nurse – Midwife (RN or RN & RM) from State Nursing Council at the time of appointment;

Stipendiary Trainees :The application fee shall be paid online through the payment gateway system provided in the online Application at the rate of Rs.100/-(Rupees Hundred only) for SC/ST category and Rs.200/-(Rupees Two Hundred only) for others.
Only SC/ST caste categories listed in the Kerala PSC will be considered. Applicants from other states belonging to SC/ST categories, not listed in the Kerala PSC will be considered as General category.
General Conditions:-
Decision whether to admit the candidate for the interview in case he or she fails to bring any required document rests entirely at the discretion of MCC-PGIOSR, depending on the importance of the document.
Each candidate will be called separately for the interview and interviewed in detail. If required, written test/online test shall be conducted.
Any attempt to disrupt or interfere with the proceeding or any misconduct towards assisting staff or interview board members will disqualify the candidate without further explanation.
Interview shall include questions related to subject knowledge, attitude assessment, aptitude assessment, subject assessment, personality assessment etc and may include practical assessment depending on the post to which the candidate appears.
If candidate fail to complete the process of interview, he/she will not be ranked.
In case suitable candidates are not available, experience will be relaxed as per the discretion of the Director, MCC-PGIOSR.

Job Responsibility of the Post of Staff Nurse Vacancy 2025
As a Staff Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing patient care in a variety of settings, including wards, clinics, and specialized units. Your responsibilities will include:
Patient Care:
Ward Management:
Hands over and takes over the patient and ward equipment and supply.
Observe the Ward cleanliness.
Write day &night report book of all patient treatment ordered by their treating doctors
Prepare patients for operations and see that he or she is sent to operation theatre with all necessary papers and pre medication.
Insist that the unit doctor prepare and sign the forms.
Maintain case paper, investigation reports etc.in the proper file or board, see that all reports get attached to the case paper temperature chart i/o chart maintain properly. Case paper should not be allowed to be handled by anyone except the doctor in charge of patients especially for medico-legal case.
Staff nurse must be known about fire exit plan of hospital especially in wards for safety of patients.
Staff nurse must be aware about special medications & injections like sedatives and narcotics and keep under lock and key
Biomedical waste management and segregation must be done after completing procedures
Maintains safety of the ward equipment.
Prepare and check ward supplies.
Assists Ward Supervisor/Sister in ward management and officiates in her/his absence. Assists in taking inventories.
Supervises students and other junior Nursing personnel working with her/him.
Maintains ward record and reports assigned to her/him by the sister in charge.
