The Job requires you to essentially communicate in Tamil language and counsel pregnant women coming to the hospital for care and childbirth. The nurses have to undergo 12 weeks Midwife training at Fernandez Hospital, Hyderabad. The training will be sponsored from the project funds.    Interviews for the post may be conducted in person or via videoconferencing, at the discretion of the Principal Investigator. In the latter case, it will be the individual candidate’s responsibility to ensure access to a suitable device (computer/ laptop/ mobile) with audio and camera facilities, and an adequate internet connection.
   Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed after screening test tentatively on the 10th February 2025 at WCH block second floor.
   a. Written test: Knowledge on midwife led care, pregnancy and risk identification
   b. Interview and Skill Test: counselling and communication with pregnant women
   The list of shortlisted candidates and the confirmed date of interview will be intimated by individual mail and through JIPMER web site only. No separate letters will be sent. No TA/ DA will be given for attending the interview. Applications not in the prescribed format will be summarily rejected.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. This position is purely on contract basis for an externally sponsored project, and the person engaged will have no claim to any regular post in JIPMER at any time. Further, the position is only for the duration of the project and based purely on external funding support for the project.
2. The engagement may be extended or curtailed at discretion of the Project Investigator.
3. Qualification and experience should be in a relevant discipline/field and in a reputed institution/organization. The experience should have been gained after acquiring the essential
   qualification.
4. Qualification, experience, other terms, and conditions may be relaxed/ altered at the discretion of the Principal Investigator.
5. Valid email ID and mobile number are compulsory.
6. Salary of the post is as per recent ICMR guidelines.
7. If performance of the appointee is not found satisfactory by the investigator, appointment can be terminated at any time without any notice.
8. The appointee may be relieved from the current job position, with 1-month prior notice, failing
   to do so may be held responsible for paying 1-month salary.
9. Submission of wrong or false information at any stage during the process of selection or canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification or even termination if detected after the person has been engaged.
10. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test and/or interview. Decision of the Project Investigator will be final. If the number of applications is very large, more stringent criteria than those specified above may be used to determine eligibility.
11. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
12. Incomplete applications and applications that are not in the prescribed format and those not fulfilling the essential criteria above are likely to be summarily rejected. Candidates may attach their CVs with the application form. However, applications with CV alone and without the prescribed form and certificates will be rejected.

⦁ Assist in ambulation and rehabilitation.
⦁ Counselling of the patients, and relatives.
⦁ Assist in technical procedures, such as Naso-gastric intubation, endotracheal intubation, Gastric Lavage, Catheterization, major dressings and assists in administration of transfusion, breast care, baby care, etc.
⦁ Perform procedures like Oxygen Therapy, intra-cath fixation, hot and cold applications, suction, urine testing for sugar, Acetone, and albumin, perineal care, etc.
⦁ Supervise nursing care being given by nursing students.

⦁ Co-ordinates patient care with various health team members.
⦁ Implement instructions given during doctors round.
⦁ Performs technical task, e.g., administration of medication, assist the doctors in various medical procedures, preparing articles and the patient for medical or Nursing procedures, recording vital signs, tube feeding, giving bowel wash, stomach wash, eye and ear care, collection and sending of specimens of indoor patient, pre and post-operative nursing care.
