Eligibility Criteria for the Post of CHFW GODAVARI Recruitment 2025-115 Staff Nurse Vacancy
To apply for the Staff Nurse Vacancy position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
(i) a degree of Basic B.Sc.(Nursing) obtained from an Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council; or
(ii) a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery(GNM) obtained from an Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council / or the State Nursing Council or possess an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government.
(iii) Registered as a Nurse or Nurse – Midwife (RN or RN & RM) from State Nursing Council at the time of appointment;
Age Limit for the Post of Staff Nurse Vacancy 2025
The maximum age limit for applying for the posts mentioned above on is as per advertisement- 42 Years as of the last date of receipt of application. A candidate shall have attained the minimum age and shall not have attained the maximum age prescribed in the relevant recruitment rules on the date as specified in the advertisement.

Selection Process for the vacancy
a. Total Marks: 100
b. 75% will be allocated for aggregate of marks obtained in all the years in qualifying examination or any other equivalent qualification.
c. Up to 10 marks @ 1.0 mark per completed year after acquiring requisite Qualification as mentioned in the pass certificate. Weightage will be reckoned up date of notification as per Govt. Memo No.4274/D1/2013, HM&FW (D1) Dept., Dt.10.07.2014.
d. Weightage up to 15% will be given to the candidates working on Contract/Outsourcing/Honorarium basis including COVID-19 service as shown below subject to their Satisfactory service certified by the competent authority, as per GO Ms No. 211, HM& FW (B2) Dept., Dt: 08.05.2021, GO Rt No.573 HM&FW(B2) dept. Dt.01.11.2021 and GO Rt No.07 HM&FW (B2) dept. Dt.06.01.2022. Govt.Memo.no. 3740784/B2/2020 of HM&FW (B2) Dept., dt.14.02.2022, Circular No.03/CHFW/2022, of CHFW, AP, dated.11.02.2022. If any individual worked for less than 6 months for covid, the weightage shall be 0.8 marks per completed month.
e. Weightage to contract employment based on working area:
(i) @ 2.5 marks per six months in Tribal Area
(ii) @ 2.0 marks per six months in Rural Area
(iii) @ 1.0 marks per six months in urban areas
f. The COVID-19 weightage shall be applicable only to the persons who have rendered their services for COVID-19 on Contract/Outsourcing/ Honorarium basis and are appointed by the District Collector or any other competent authority based on orders issued by the Government and certified by the controlling officers (DMHO / DCHS/Principal of GMC/Superintendent of GGH) to that effect.
g. As per the G.O.RT.No.108, HM&FW(E1), Department, dated 14.02.2024 consideration of service weightage for the service rendered in the cadre of CHOs (MLHPs) working in Village health Clinics for future recruitment of Staff Nurse on contract basis.
Weightage to contract employment based on working area:
- @ 2.5 marks per six months in Tribal Area
- @ 2.0 marks per six months in Rural Area
- @ 1.0 marks per six months in urban areas
h. The candidates claiming service weightage shall submit original contract/Outsourcing/ Honorarium service certificate in the enclosed proforma issued by competent authority along with copy of appointment orders. Applications without the service certificates as stated above will not be considered for service weightage.
(Note: Certificates taken earlier are valid. If additional period of service is there, fresh certificate to that effect shall be obtained
and enclosed)
i. Contract service will be reckoned up to the date of notification .

Job Responsibility for the Post of Staff Nurse Vacancy 2025
As a Staff Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing patient care in a variety of settings, including wards, clinics, and specialized units. Your responsibilities will include:
Patient Care:
Ward Management:
Hands over and takes over the patient and ward equipment and supply. Observe the Ward cleanliness.
Write day &night report book of all patient treatment ordered by their treating doctors. Prepare patients for operations and see that he or she is sent to operation theatre with all necessary papers and pre medication. Insist that the unit doctor prepare and sign the forms.
Maintain case paper, investigation reports etc.in the proper file or board, see that all reports get attached to the case paper temperature chart i/o chart maintain properly. Case paper should not be allowed to be handled by anyone except the doctor in charge of patients especially for medico-legal case.
Staff nurse must be known about fire exit plan of hospital especially in wards for safety of patients. Staff nurse must be aware about special medications & injections like sedatives and narcotics and keep under lock and key. Biomedical waste management and segregation must be done after completing procedures.
Maintains safety of the ward equipment. Prepare and check ward supplies. Assists Ward Supervisor/Sister in ward management and officiates in her/his absence. Assists in taking inventories. Supervises students and other junior Nursing personnel working with her/him. Maintains ward record and reports assigned to her/him by the sister in charge.
Educational Function:
Teaches and guides domestic staff. Instruct servants specially the newly appointed ones in the correct way of handling bed-pans urinals, sputum cups, kidney trays, soiled dressings, bandages, binders and Iinen.
Helps in the orientation of new staff and Orient newly posted students. Participates in staff education programme. Guides and Instruct the student Nurses in their work. Carry out health teaching for individual or group of patients.
Demonstrate bed side nursing procedures, the methods of disinfections and cleaning. Teach servants and nursing students about bio medical waste management and segregation

Maintaining accurate patient records, noting progress, changes, and any concerns for review by medical teams.
