    The following positions at Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF), AIIMS Rishikesh running under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR) with support from Ministry of Social Justice and empowerment (MoSJE), Govt. of India and coordinated by NDDTC, AIIMS Delhi are lying vacant and need to be filled on purely contractual basis.

    A walk-in interview will be conducted, and selected candidate will be engaged on purely temporary basis. The interviews will be held offline at AIIMS Rishikesh and the details of the which will be intimated to the eligible and shortlisted candidates individually through email /on AIIMS website

    1. Interested candidates are requested to submit their application in duly prescribed format (Annexure l) by mailing it to atf@aiimsrishikesh.edu.in latest by 5:30 PM of 16.03.2025. No applications will be accepted in hard-copy formats by hand/post or otherwise.
    2. While applying through email, write: Subject: Application for post of Nurse/Medical Officer/Counsellor (as applicable).
    3. The upper age limit for the post of doctors is 65 years and for other posts is 40 years (age calculated as on the last date of application), however, may be relaxable for eligible and deserving candidate.
    4. The candidates called for interview will be intimated by mail only.
    5. Applications incomplete in any aspect will be summarily rejected and no intimations / requests will be made to the candidate in this regard.
    6. Prescribed qualification is minimum and mere possessing same does not entitle any candidate for selection. Decision of Selection Committee at AIIMS Rishikesh regarding selection of candidates will be final and no representation in any manner will be entertained in this regard.
    7. No travelling or other allowances will be paid to candidate for interview/joining for the post.
    8. Appointment is PURELY TEMPORARY OR CONTRACT BASIS for a period of 11 months only from the date of commencement of the contract and can be terminated by giving one month’s notice from either side (However, the tenures may be extended from time to time).
    9. Work and conduct will be reviewed from time to time and if not found satisfactory/suitable, shall be terminated immediately without any notice.
    10. This appointment will not vest any right to claim by the candidate for regular appointment or permanent absorption in institute OR for continued contractual appointment which may be renewed or terminated as per policy/rule/needs of institute.
    11. The selected candidates shall be employed under ATF Project in Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS Rishikesh.
    12. Experience as asked for, should have been gained after acquiring minimum essential qualification.
    13. Qualification, experience, other terms and conditions may be relaxed/altered at the discretion of the Nodal Officer.
    14. Candidate is expected to conform to rules of conduct and discipline as applicable to institute employees.
    15. Candidate should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.
    16. No other allowance/facilities other than consolidated emoluments/salary shall be admissible.
    17. Applicants already working elsewhere shall have to produce Relieving Certificate from their present employer before joining Institute.
    18. The administrative part shall be Looked after by the Nodal officer for ATF at AIIMS Rishikesh, and these posts are funded by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE), Government of India.
    19. The salary/remuneration may be revised as per the changes advised from the funding agency from time to time OR as per the prevailing NHM norms of state of Uttarakhand, subjected to approval from funding agency
    20. In case any information given or declaration by candidate is found to be false or if candidate has willfully suppressed any material information relevant to this appointment, he/she will be liable to be removed from service immediately at any stage and an action taken as deemed fit by appointing authority.
    21. The appointee may be relieved from the current job position, with one-month prior notice from either party, failing to do so may be held responsible for paying one-month salary.
    22. Appointment is full time and private practice of any type is prohibited.

    Job Responsibility of the Post of Nurse Vacancy 2025

    As a Staff Nurse, your main responsibility will be to provide high-quality care to patients across various departments, ensuring their safety and comfort. You will work closely with a team of doctors, specialists, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans. Your responsibilities will include:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Patient Care and Monitoring: Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and ensure patient comfort. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of clinical care.
    • Medical Documentation: Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations and facility guidelines.
    • Collaboration and Communication: Work with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement personalized care plans. Clear communication with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals is key to ensuring that everyone is on the same page regarding treatment and care goals.
    • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques. You will provide valuable information that empowers patients to manage their health and make informed decisions.
    • Emergency Response: In situations requiring urgent attention, you will respond quickly and efficiently, using your clinical expertise to stabilize patients and provide immediate care.

    Ward Management:

    Hands over and takes over the patient and ward equipment and supply. Observe the Ward cleanliness.

    Write day &night report book of all patient treatment ordered by their treating doctors. Prepare patients for operations and see that he or she is sent to operation theatre with all necessary papers and pre medication. Insist that the unit doctor prepare and sign the forms.

    Maintain case paper, investigation reports etc.in the proper file or board, see that all reports get attached to the case paper temperature chart i/o chart maintain properly. Case paper should not be allowed to be handled by anyone except the doctor in charge of patients especially for medico-legal case.

    Staff nurse must be known about fire exit plan of hospital especially in wards for safety of patients. Staff nurse must be aware about special medications & injections like sedatives and narcotics and keep under lock and key. Biomedical waste management and segregation must be done after completing procedures.

    Maintains safety of the ward equipment. Prepare and check ward supplies. Assists Ward Supervisor/Sister in ward management and officiates in her/his absence. Assists in taking inventories. Supervises students and other junior Nursing personnel working with her/him. Maintains ward record and reports assigned to her/him by the sister in charge.

    Educational Function:

    Teaches and guides domestic staff. Instruct servants specially the newly appointed ones in the correct way of handling bed-pans urinals, sputum cups, kidney trays, soiled dressings, bandages, binders and Iinen.

    Helps in the orientation of new staff and Orient newly posted students. Participates in staff education programme. Guides and Instruct the student Nurses in their work. Carry out health teaching for individual or group of patients.

    Demonstrate bed side nursing procedures, the methods of dis-infections and cleaning. Teach servants and nursing students about bio medical waste management and segregation
