Eligibility Criteria for the Post of NPSC Staff Nurse Direct Recruitment 2025
To apply for the Vacancy position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

(i) a degree obtained from an Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council / or the State Nursing Council or possess an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government.
(iii) Registered as a Nurse or Nurse – Midwife (RN or RN & RM) from State Nursing Council at the time of appointment;

The maximum age limit for applying for the posts mentioned Below is as per advertisement as of the last date of receipt of application. A candidate shall have attained the minimum age and shall not have attained the maximum age prescribed in the relevant recruitment rules on the date as specified in the advertisement.
NOTE:
1. The upper age limit is relaxable by:
(a) 5(five) years for candidates belonging to SC/ST.
(b) Age concession for serving Government employees will be allowed, the equal number of years they are in service subject to a maximum of 5(five) years.
2. 80% of the vacancies are reserved for the candidates belonging to (a) Any Naga Tribe (b) Kuki (c) Kachari (d) Garo and (e) Mikir provided such persons are Indigenous Inhabitant of the State of Nagaland.
3. Implementation of reservation for backward tribes in the state shall be in accordance with the notification issued vide NO.RCBT 5/87(pt-II) dated14-04-2011, 15-06-2012 & 04.09.2015 & No.RCBT 5/87(pt-III) dated 23.03.2022.
4. Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disability, wherever applicable as sanctioned by the user department in accordance with the Government Notification NO.AR-3/Gen-9/97 dated 13th August 2020 & No.AR-8/NSSB-9/2022/57 dated 5th April, 2022.

Terms & conditions:
i. Only those candidates who possess the requisite qualification acquired from recognized university/institution at the time of applying will be eligible to apply for the post(s).
ii. Candidates must produce attested/self-attested photocopies of the following documents/materials to the Commission as and when called for:
a) HSLC/Matriculation/Equivalent Admit Card for proof of Date of Birth. No other Certificate will be accepted for age proof.
b) Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate, Scheduled Tribe Certificate, Backward Tribe Certificates as relevant and applicable.
c) For physically handicapped candidate, certificate from competent medical authority is required.
d) Proof of Educational Qualifications: Mark Sheets & Pass Certificates/Provisional Pass certificates from matriculation onwards till requisite qualification. If for any reason pass certificates/ provisional pass certificates is not issued by the Board/ Institute/University, a letter/certificate to that effect from the Board/Institute/University must be submitted.
f) No Objection Certificate from the Head of Department/Public Undertaking to be furnished in case the applicant is an employee of the Government or Public Undertaking.
g) All relevant documents/certificates to be submitted should have been issued by the concerned authority/institution/board/university on or before the last date of submission of application form.
h) All original documents are also to be produced as and when called for and also during interview without which candidates will not be allowed to appear the interview.
6. Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate, S.C, S.T & B.T Certificates should be signed only by competent authority not below the rank of Additional Deputy Commissioner.
7. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature shall stand cancelled.
8. The decision of the Commission in all matters regarding eligibility, conduct of examination, other tests and selection would be final and binding on all candidates. No representation or correspondence shall be entertained by the Commission in this regard.
9. Application forms will not be issued from the office of the Commission.

11. OTR (One Time Registration) will be mandatory for filling up of online application for Combined Technical Services Examination-2025 and future online application.
12. a) OTR (One Time Registration) will be active from 12:00 noon of 8th April,2025 till 12:00 noon of 8th May,2025. Only those candidates who are eligible to appear CTSE-2025 may register for OTR.
b) No offline Exam Application Form will be issued from the Commission’s Office. Online Exam Application Form can be submitted at the NPSC portal i.e https://npsc.nagaland.gov.in which will be available from 9th April, 2025 12:00 till 12:00 Noon of 9th May, 2025.
15. For candidates who are Government employees, “No OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” signed by the Head of Department should be uploaded while submitting online application.
16. OTR (One Time Registration) will be free of cost, Candidates have to pay examination fee of Rs.300, convenience fee of Rs. 25 and payment gateway charges as applicable.
17. The New Pattern of Examination shall be effective as notified videNotification No.NPSC/ EXAM-1/2015 dated 3rd February, 2025 and Corrigendum dated 26th March, 2025.

As a Staff Nurse, your main responsibility will be to provide high-quality care to patients across various departments, ensuring their safety and comfort. - Medical Documentation: Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations and facility guidelines.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement personalized care plans. Clear communication with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals is key to ensuring that everyone is on the same page regarding treatment and care goals.

Ward Management:
Hands over and takes over the patient and ward equipment and supply. Observe the Ward cleanliness.
Write day &night report book of all patient treatment ordered by their treating doctors. Prepare patients for operations and see that he or she is sent to operation theatre with all necessary papers and pre medication. Insist that the unit doctor prepare and sign the forms.
Maintain case paper, investigation reports etc.in the proper file or board, see that all reports get attached to the case paper temperature chart i/o chart maintain properly. Case paper should not be allowed to be handled by anyone except the doctor in charge of patients especially for medico-legal case.
Staff nurse must be known about fire exit plan of hospital especially in wards for safety of patients. Staff nurse must be aware about special medications & injections like sedatives and narcotics and keep under lock and key. Biomedical waste management and segregation must be done after completing procedures.
Maintains safety of the ward equipment. Prepare and check ward supplies. Assists Ward Supervisor/Sister in ward management and officiates in her/his absence. Assists in taking inventories. Supervises students and other junior Nursing personnel working with her/him. Maintains ward record and reports assigned to her/him by the sister in charge.
Educational Function:
Teaches and guides domestic staff. Instruct servants specially the newly appointed ones in the correct way of handling bed-pans urinals, sputum cups, kidney trays, soiled dressings, bandages, binders and Iinen.
Helps in the orientation of new staff and Orient newly posted students. Participates in staff education programme. Guides and Instruct the student Nurses in their work. Carry out health teaching for individual or group of patients.
Demonstrate bed side nursing procedures, the methods of dis-infections and cleaning. Teach servants and nursing students about bio medical waste management and segregation
