(i) a degree of Basic B.Sc.(Nursing) obtained from an Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council; or

(ii) a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery(GNM) obtained from an Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council / or the State Nursing Council or possess an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government.

(iii) Registered as a Nurse or Nurse – Midwife (RN or RN & RM) from State Nursing Council at the time of appointment;

Terms and conditions

1. The appointment is purely on contract basis for a period of two years or till the completion of project
   whichever is earlier. This will not vest any right to claim for regular appointment in the hospital or for
   continued contractual appointment.
2. The prescribed qualification is minimum and possessing of same does not entitle any candidate for selection.
3. A remuneration as mentioned above will be paid for each completed calendar month. For a period of less
   than one month, the payment will be made on pro-rata basis, as applicable on the date of commencement of the contract. No other service benefits or allowances are admissible.
4. The contractual engagement is purely on temporary basis and it can be terminated by the Employer during
   the period of the contract without assigning any reason or giving any notice.
5. The word “recognized” means the course is run by the Hospitals of Delhi Govt/ Central Govt/State
   Govt. /Indian Medical Association and the course is approved by All India Council of Technical Education
   and State Boards of Technical Education and the course conducted by the Universities approved by UGC.
6. In case of a large number of candidates appear for the interview, a written screening test may be conducted and/or interviews can be held on two consecutive working days.
7. The employee shall have to give one month notice or deposit an amount equal to one month remuneration if he/she wishes to terminate the contract immediately.
8. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS and physically handicapped candidates will be given as admissible as per Govt. Rules. The OBC certificate is valid if issued by the Delhi Government only.
9. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview
10. In case the candidate is already employed, he/she should submit the NOC from his/her present employer.
11. The candidates should not have been convicted by any court of law.
12. Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified for the post.
13. If any declaration/ information furnished is found false or any material/fact suppressed willfully the contractual appointment will be terminated forth with.
14. The decision of the selection board regarding selection of the candidate will be final and no representation will be entertained in this regard.
15. In case of any dispute the legal jurisdiction will be Delhi only.
16. The candidates while appearing for interview will produce all original documents including mark sheets
    along with one number of attested photocopies of all testimonial/certificates and one passport size
    photograph.
17. The hospital reserves the right to change the number of vacancies, withdraw the process, in full or in part
    without assigning any reasons or giving notice etc.
18. The selected candidate will have to follow hospital wide policies.
19. The selected candidate will have to undergo mandatory induction training before joining the hospital.
20. No separate call letters will be issued for interview.

Job Responsibility for the Post of Staff Nurse Vacancy 2025

As a Staff Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing patient care in a variety of settings, including wards, clinics, and specialized units. Your responsibilities will include:

Patient Care:

Ward Management:

Hands over and takes over the patient and ward equipment and supply. Observe the Ward cleanliness.

Write day &night report book of all patient treatment ordered by their treating doctors. Prepare patients for operations and see that he or she is sent to operation theatre with all necessary papers and pre medication. Insist that the unit doctor prepare and sign the forms.

Maintain case paper, investigation reports etc.in the proper file or board, see that all reports get attached to the case paper temperature chart i/o chart maintain properly. Case paper should not be allowed to be handled by anyone except the doctor in charge of patients especially for medico-legal case.

Staff nurse must be known about fire exit plan of hospital especially in wards for safety of patients. Staff nurse must be aware about special medications & injections like sedatives and narcotics and keep under lock and key. Biomedical waste management and segregation must be done after completing procedures.

Maintains safety of the ward equipment. Prepare and check ward supplies. Assists Ward Supervisor/Sister in ward management and officiates in her/his absence. Assists in taking inventories. Supervises students and other junior Nursing personnel working with her/him. Maintains ward record and reports assigned to her/him by the sister in charge.

Educational Function:

Teaches and guides domestic staff. Instruct servants specially the newly appointed ones in the correct way of handling bed-pans urinals, sputum cups, kidney trays, soiled dressings, bandages, binders and Iinen.

Helps in the orientation of new staff and Orient newly posted students. Participates in staff education programme. Guides and Instruct the student Nurses in their work. Carry out health teaching for individual or group of patients.

Demonstrate bed side nursing procedures, the methods of disinfections and cleaning. Teach servants and nursing students about bio medical waste management and segregation

Record keeping:

Maintaining accurate patient records, noting progress, changes, and any concerns for review by medical teams.
